AZiLE
AZiLE is a system of interconnected DSP modules I designed and built in Max / MSP intended to be performable enough for use in live improvisation and manipulable enough for composition and sound design. The software takes its name somewhat facetiously from Joseph Weizenbaum’s early chatbot, ELIZA. Since its initial design in 2019, AZiLE has gone through a number of iterations and been a part of my work with large improvising ensembles, collaborating with augmented drum set player Martin Daigle, and at Trinity Laban’s CoLab amongst others.
